Privacy
Calgary News Live's current privacy practices, and what governs any future analytics, advertising or tracking changes.
Current state
Calgary News Live does not currently activate application analytics, advertising measurement, personalized advertising or tracking pixels. The application does not currently set analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not use browser storage for tracking.
No consent (cookie) banner is displayed on this site, because no non-essential application tracking is active today. A consent banner would only become necessary if analytics, advertising or another non-essential tracking technology were ever activated in the future.
The public Contact, Submit a Tip and Advertise pages provide approved email addresses. The website itself has no contact forms, upload fields or submission database. Choosing an email link opens the reader’s email service; the message then contains the sender information and content the reader chooses to provide.
How technical infrastructure handles requests
Calgary News Live is hosted and delivered through Vercel’s hosting, content-delivery and security infrastructure. Vercel may process limited technical request information and standard server or network logs as needed to deliver, protect and operate the website. Vercel handles that information under its own privacy terms.
Calgary News Live uses SpaceMail for its public email addresses. When a reader chooses an email link, the message is processed by the reader’s email provider and SpaceMail. It is not submitted through a Calgary News Live website form or stored in a website submission database. Readers should not send sensitive personal information by email.
Future changes
Any future analytics or advertising technology -- for example, a measurement tool or an advertising provider such as Google AdSense -- would require its own review before activation. Any non-essential technology would require an appropriate preference or consent mechanism, offering a clear way to decline, before it could go live. This notice will be updated whenever Calgary News Live’s practices change, and future public-intake pages will disclose their own privacy and retention terms before those forms become operational.
Advertising
No Google AdSense or other advertising script is currently active on this site. Commercial enquiries can be sent through the Advertise page, but advertising inventory, booking and payment are not active. Any future sponsored or branded content would be clearly labelled and would require its own separate disclosure governance before it could appear.
Editorial decisions stay separate from advertising
Buying advertising, sponsoring a newsletter, or entering any future commercial partnership never determines what Calgary News Live covers, how a story is reported, or whether coverage is favourable. Advertising cannot purchase editorial coverage, and no commercial relationship bypasses the same editorial review every story goes through. Any future sponsored or branded content would require its own separate disclosure governance before it could appear.
Your privacy choices
There is currently no application tracking preference to change, because no non-essential tracking is active. Privacy questions can be emailed to newsroom@calgarynewslive.ca. Do not send sensitive personal information. No phone number or mailing address is published. Final legal and privacy review of this notice remains pending.
Pre-launchCalgary News Live remains in pre-launch development. This page describes intended structure and standards, not completed newsroom operations.
